About Us

About us Surfcoast Crusiers CornwallSurf Coast Cruisers was formed in the early 1970’s by like-minded car nuts living in Cornwall. The early years saw a soaring membership but not too many cars on the road, a sign of the times back then and the difficulty in putting together a rod in the 70’s.

Surf Coast Cruisers soon made a name for itself by getting involved in the “Surf ’n’ Cruise” held at Skewjack. It wasn’t long before the Club was organising its own Custom Car Show, the first being in 1978 at Clowance House, then moving to Ludgvan and finally at Carbis Bay, the last show being held there in 1986.

Due to a falling number of members the Club slipped gently into a coma during the early 1990’s, but following some intensive care and an injection of new members the Club burst back onto the scene again in 1997.

Once again the Club organises an annual show, which started in 2001 at Newquay. We have established a loyal following of rods and American cars and had well over 200 cars at the last show.

We currently have over 30 members with nearly 20 cars on the road. We welcome anyone with an interest in the scene and are happy to welcome new members. If you like the sound of us please get in touch or better still, turn up at one of our cruise nights.
